I am a Year 5 learner at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 4 and my teacher is Mr O'Brien.
Kia Ora koutou katoa! 😀I want to try and blog more since we are going to start a new term soon so I've decided to start a series called "Blog of the Week".
Each blog post will contain over 4 comments that I have posted to a blog of which I enjoyed viewing over the week. You will find that I will also be involving students's blogs from other primary schools including Glen Taylor School, Tamaki Primary and excreta. Most of these blog posts will have included some of the activities that I have done in the past and some recently. To start off this series ....

Kia Ora koutou katoa. today I got over 300 trophies.
My goal in the holiday break is to achieve 500 transum trophies. I got some games from my sister and I gave her ideas as well. It is really fun to play transum; you learn anything in math possible.
Malo leilei everyone, today in our math session we actually looked at a bit of science. We saw the complete timeline of famous and intelligent mathematicians. I could no believe it and to believe that they invented many things in the stone ages to become a Mathematician. If I could travel back in time, I would have loved to be one of the first people from modern generation to see them. I myself would want to be a surgeon but being a mathematician seems exciting. So many types of maths to teach to the next generation. It would be FANTASTIC!
THANK YOU, ALILIA
This is an imge of our modern day mathematicians.
Would you like to one day become a mathematician, if so why?
I will be still doing blog posts in the holidays so I do not forget the maths and everything else that I have learnt in lockdown.
Would you like to one day become a mathematician, if so why?
That is all for today, I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday!!!
Kia Ora, talofa and Malo leilei to everyone. Today in the maths session with Mrs Allan, we did the protec maths test from 6 to 8. The first test was not as threatening as the stage 8, it got a bit more harder. I recognized the place value after reflecting on it for a bit. The rest was just "HCF and LCM". Here is the certificate.
THANK YOU, ALILIA
