Malo leilei everyone, today in our math session we actually looked at a bit of science. We saw the complete timeline of famous and intelligent mathematicians. I could no believe it and to believe that they invented many things in the stone ages to become a Mathematician. If I could travel back in time, I would have loved to be one of the first people from modern generation to see them. I myself would want to be a surgeon but being a mathematician seems exciting. So many types of maths to teach to the next generation. It would be FANTASTIC!
THANK YOU, ALILIA
This is an imge of our modern day mathematicians.
Would you like to one day become a mathematician, if so why?
I will be still doing blog posts in the holidays so I do not forget the maths and everything else that I have learnt in lockdown.
Would you like to one day become a mathematician, if so why?
That is all for today, I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday!!!
I think being a mathematician would be great. Numbers can be a lot of fun and trying to solve tricky equations can really rewarding. Good work for continuing to blog over the holidays.
ReplyDeleteKia Ora Alilia,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you like the timeline of maths. Did you look at the applications of mathematics? https://mathigon.org/applications You will notice quite a few medical applications. If you click on MRI and Tomography you get more links to explore. For example: https://plus.maths.org/content/saving-lives-mathematics-tomography So, yes, mathematics and medicine together save lives! Make sure you get time outside as well as continuing your wonderful learning journey. As a future doctor you need to practise having balance in your life. :-) You are going to be a very good Doctor for sure!
Ms Allan.
