                                                ~ Math Session ~

So today, in the afternoon at 1:00pm we were doing magic squares. The activities that were included in this session were from transum. We practiced using "Magic square" and "Area Wall puzzles ".

Here are some images of when I had finished the puzzle and completed it correctly. I had some times that I got confused but as we progressed more into the session I learnt so much. The sum of the numbers that I had in all 3 levels were 34 so it was easier to figure out when I had the method and knew it clearly.

So when I was doing the first level there were clues to help me, actually all the levels had clues. In the first level, one row was complete so we knew what the sum would be, 34. So we started to look at the corners and added the numbers. With the remaining gaps I used the same method and got the same result.

Math can be mysterious but fun. It comes to say that just because you do not know how to do it at first you should never give up, there will always be people to help. I am glad that I joined the sessions as soon as I could because they really help. I have  improved a lot. I can not wait for the near future sessions.

I also did the are walls activity on transum. Here is an image of level 1 that I did. The objective was to find where to fill in the amount of numbers it is accounted for but the shape has to be a rectangle.

{Thank you for listening to my writing, Have a great day!!!}

  1. You have certainly achieved so much and I enjoyed reading your blog post. I particularly liked your comment "just because you do not know how to do it at first you should never give up, there will always be people to help". Keep up the good work. John (Transum Mathematics)
