Malo e lelei everyone,
Today i have created a game for the 6th Nanogirl challenge and also the last. i will miss doing these activity because they have to be the highlight of my week.
For this task we had to create a game and the game I create has similarity to darts when someone throws a dart on a target trying to aim in the middle.
For this task my sister let me use her box that she actually created at school in arts and crafts I think. I used a hair tie and some some books, see the books were to become the stand and the hair tie acted as darts.
To develop this activity I could have gave a time limit to each shot and maybe have a an arrow attached onto a rope somewhere to block the target ; overall I think I did a good job but when creating something. It is always in the right mind to have the creator think how can we develop it to make it better.
I had my sister try it out and she said it was way to easy for her.
Thank you everyone,
Nga Mihi
Malo e lelei everyone,
Today I have created ice art for the Summer Learning Journey task named "Ice Art" I love how the result appeared. It looked nice. Here it is. I grabbed some flowers and leaves from outside.
Malo e lelei everyone,
Today I have done the task named zhuzhing it up. I loved this task because it includes reading. One of my favorite curriculum areas and subjects. We had to use our creativity to come up with an idea of what was in Aiden's bag.I chose something most common and known. A stuffed toy.
Here it is everybody.

Malo e lelei everyone,
today I have created cicada art for the Summer Learning Journey task called "Cicadas in art". I enjoyed this activity because it gave me the chance of creativity. So I actually only found like 3 cicadas so I decided maybe I could design a picture/scene out of cicadas. In google draw I created the Eiffle tower out of cicadas and then put trees on the side to look like a nice portrait. So here it is ......
Malo e lelei everyone!
Today I have prepared a poetry slam task for you to see.
This poetry slam was a "Clerihew". In most cases, the first line names a person, and the second line ends with something that rhymes with the name of the person.
I am so proud of myself for creating this in under 11 minutes because it normally takes 20 minutes { what a great improvement }.
Fakalofa lahi atu everyone!
For this activity we had to create a machine that would either make someone go to sleep or make someone wake up. This task is inspired by Wallace and Gromit one of my top 5 favorite cartoon in my childhood.
In season 1 episode 2, Wallace can't sleep because he ate too much cheese {as always, like me} , so he invents a machine that helps with sleepless nights. I think the creation is very amazing and is helpful to all.
Today I have made mine on google drawing and my machine was to be similar to the snoozeatron.

Kia Ora Everyone, today I have done another task. We were challenged to make a slideshow to show what our 10 top essentials we need in summer.
Thank you everyone!
In this task we had to pretend we were a reporter and report news from an article that we find at kiwi kids News. I am talking about the shortage of Brown sugar in New Zealand.
My writing -
An issue that affects bakers globally across all of New Zealand. New Zealand is growing short of brown sugar. In what baking/desert do you like to use brown sugar in?
Food Safety New Zealand is investigating the handling of the recall. The company expects it will have brown sugar back in supply by Christmas or New year, but until then bakers are having to ditch sweet for mostly savory. Meanwhile, large bakeries are asking to portion out their giant
bags and sell small packs to those desperate customers and I personally think that that is an amazing gesture.
Me saying it -
Today, I have done the challenge "He Hokonga - Ngā Ōrau". For this task we had to make an advertisement for something. Then we had to do the maths of 10% off and 30% off. This is my advertisement, I have done a table
Today I have done an activity called one point perspective. A one point perspective is a drawing technique that helps us achieve depths. When we make a one point perspective drawing, the object get smaller as it moves farther into the distance. I actually forgot to do this before so here is it.
Thank you everyone!
Today I have done another activity called sun, wind & rain. In this activity I needed to read the story of how people used to work out the weather in the past.
To create your own weather journal you can do it digitally or on paper, then record the weather three times in the day and write down the temperature, clothing that you are wearing, and how the sky looks.
I recorded this on “Thursday | January | 5th”. This is a task called sun, wind and rain.
I pleaded joy in doing this task because I now have knowledge about sun, wind and rain.
Thank you everyone!
Today I have done another activity called point perspective art.
Point perspective Definition -
A point perspective art is a drawing method that makes objects smaller as it gets further away.
In this activity I have created my point perspective with a hexagons, star, triangles, circle, rectangle, oval.
When I finished drawing the shapes, I started to colour in the middle dark and when light when it started to go out. Lastly I outline the parts with a black colouring pencil to make the art stand out more. I enjoyed doing this activity because I really like making point perspective art.
Thank you everyone!
Today I have done another activity called magnetic poem. A magnetic poem is a type of poetry that was invented by Dave Capell who could not think of what to write for a song, so he put down interesting words on paper and rearranged them to make a song, which was really good fun so he decided to make magnetic poetry to share with other people.
I enjoyed this activity because I got to learn about different and new poetry, I guess that is why I love the summer Learning Journey. I learn and discover new knowledge to take with me on my journey in primary and I appreciate all the people that produce this time and effort to make us occupied and learning in summer break.
Thank you everyone!
Kia Ora everyone,
today I have done the optical illusion task. For this activity we had to draw both on a google draw or either physically with a pen and paper. Firstly I wanted to have a clear perspective of the definition of optical illusions. My prediction was that it had to do with something that related to illusions so like something that has more than one way to look at it. It turns out I was kind of correct. So here, today I present you my work. This is a combination of both a vase and two faces. I first started by actually drawing a half face on a piece of cardboard, I then traced it on my paper. I did both faces horizontally on the paper. I enjoyed this activity because I really got to learn a lot about optical illusions.
Thank you everyone !
Malo e lelei, Talofa and warm greetings to everyone!
Today I have made a 100% recycled boat.
Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and last of all Re-purpose. In this task we had to reuse materials and objects in our house. Today I have made an easy design.
I start by finding a container but this container was going to be thrown out so I used it to be the main part of the boat.
I then found some old skewers sticks out side so I grabbed 2 of them. I also used scrap paper that was from my recycling bin. I also made a little shelter.
I wanted to create a boat that could be physically used so I thought that when it is raining they have shelter and when the warmth emanates from the sun they will also have shelter. Based on technically, it is for the weather. So really that is how I created my boat.
Happy New Year everyone!!
I have done another SLJ task that is based on New Year.
How do you celebrate New Year?
Well today for this task we had to learn/Ako how other people celebrate globally. The way me and my family celebrate is gathering for one big dinner. My family cooked a lot of island foods while our visitors that came made deserts.
Globally, we all have something in common, gatherings. I think quality whanau/family time is important on such a special occasion. I love how the fireworks light up the vivid sky at night.
For people that want to do this task \\
Tips -
1\ Start be learning about the how the countries celebrate
2\ Then write down what you have learnt
3\ Don't just search for the answer - learn a lot so it becomes knowledge -
