Happy New Year everyone!!
I have done another SLJ task that is based on New Year.
How do you celebrate New Year?
Well today for this task we had to learn/Ako how other people celebrate globally. The way me and my family celebrate is gathering for one big dinner. My family cooked a lot of island foods while our visitors that came made deserts.
Globally, we all have something in common, gatherings. I think quality whanau/family time is important on such a special occasion. I love how the fireworks light up the vivid sky at night.
For people that want to do this task \\
Tips -
1\ Start be learning about the how the countries celebrate
2\ Then write down what you have learnt
3\ Don't just search for the answer - learn a lot so it becomes knowledge -

That’s cool that they play cards in Greece, I hadn’t heard of that tradition!
