SLJ | Poetry slam wha

Today I have done another activity called magnetic poem. A magnetic poem is a type of poetry that was invented by Dave Capell who could not think of what to write for a song, so he put down interesting words on paper and rearranged them to make a song, which was really good fun so he decided to make magnetic poetry to share with other people.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to learn about different and new poetry, I guess that is why I love the summer Learning Journey. I learn and discover new knowledge to take with me on my journey in primary and I appreciate all the people that produce this time and effort to make us occupied and learning in summer break.

Thank you everyone!

Chris here from the Summer Learning Journey, again! Great to see you still posting!

That’s so cool to hear that you enjoyed learning about new types of poetry through this task, and that you’re still enjoying the Summer Learning Journey in general! We appreciate your hard work and dedication!

Tēnā koe for embedding a video of you reciting your poem so we know how it’s meant to sound as well. Great alliteration at the beginning as well!

Alliteration is the repeated similar sounds of words in a sentence, which you did when you said: “sun sizzled while the seagulls wait.” Awesome work! Do you like writing usually?

I’m looking forward to seeing what else you post in the final week, next week!

    Ngā mihi,
    Chris
