SLJ:Taste Of Summer

Kia Ora, today I will be talking about what we should eat eat in summer.

 In Summer we feel the hot burn from the sun that is why we should always carry a nice cool bottle of water. Ice cream, creamsicles and ice blocks are really good as well. Watermelon is a very accurate and delicious food for this season. Some people suggest that curd is really good to eat, I think it is because it's tasty and gives a cool effect to your body. It is good to stay hydrated in the summer so drink at least 8 cups of water if you are a child. Happy new year and I hope you enjoyed my writing.

    What an amazing assortment of summer foods you have shared on your blog post Alilia. We are so lucky to have so many fresh foods available to us and to be able to use them in so many different ways in our cooking.

    It is very important to stay hydrated over summer and we definitely need to drink lots of water to do this. I also love watermelon and my mum often slices it into small pieces and freezes it for us. She also does this with pineapple and they are so delicious and thirst quenching.

    Maybe this is something you could try over the summer break? Even just cooling foods seems to make them taste better I think. What do you think?
